Profile Picture Of Indranil Aditya

Indranil Aditya is an independent visual journalist and trained photojournalist based in Mumbai, India, specializing in compelling visual narratives across themes of health, politics, economics, and development.

His work has been featured by leading global organizations including the Gates Foundation, Bloomberg, IMF (International Monetary Fund), Middle East Images, Financial Times, Financial Review, NPR, NurPhoto, and Zuma Press.

With a strong background in documentary and editorial photography, Indranil has collaborated with Asian Photography Magazine, and produced commissioned visual content for renowned brands and institutions such as Asian Paints Sarad Samman, Dabur India, Splash Events and Concern, Morphoeus Planners, Observer Research Foundation, and the Geological Survey of India (Kolkata HQ and Hyderabad).

In 2018, he covered the Bahrain International Airshow for Show Daily under SAP Media Worldwide Ltd., and has also undertaken official assignments for the German Consulate in Mumbai.

Specialized in Visual Journalism from Udaan School of Photography, Indranil was mentored by 2005 World Press Photo winner Arko Datta, shaping his distinctive visual voice and journalistic approach.

He is a full-time member of Diversify Photo, a global collective representing BIPOC and non-Western visual storytellers, and a member of the Mumbai Press Club.

Beyond photography, Indranil is also proficient in short-form video production, with the ability to shoot and edit dynamic content in fast-paced editorial environments.

In a world increasingly influenced by AI-generated imagery, Indranil remains committed to creating authentic, purpose-driven visual journalism—captured on location, through real experiences, with the integrity and credibility that only live documentation can provide.

He is currently available for commissioned assignments across the APAC region.
